Welcome to fairytale GP. Yes, because when you imagine an idyllic place it will almost always look like the Austrian GP. The Spielberg circuit, now called the Red Bull Ring, formerly the A1 Ring, is set on a valley slope in the Styrian region like the one you see in those famous Empress Sissi movies: surrounded by steep peaks, dark forests, deep green meadows and “perfect” villages.
In the last seasons the Austrian GP is held immediately after the Czech GP, so, being also in summer, it is a good idea to join the two. The distance from one to the other is less than four hours by car. Those extra days between races allow for some relaxing days. And there’s no place to fill up on that relaxation more than Spielberg and his surroundings. As an example, let’s take a look at the photos in our personal album…
